Police have been unable to put their fingers on a motive. Nothing is adding up to explain why Stephen Paddock opened fire on Sunday night. While searching his home – police found more guns, ammunition, explosives, and a few items they hope might be helpful in finding out why he carried out his attack. Sheriff Joe Lombardo saying electronic devices may yield clues. Likely computers or iPads. Police say they still believe there is no link to international terrorism.
Pope Francis has sent prayers to the victims of the Las Vegas mass shooting.
The Holy Father says he is deeply saddened by the Las Vegas shooting and has expressed his “spiritual closeness” to the victims. the Vatican said Pope Francis “commends the efforts of the police and emergency service personnel, and offers the promise of his prayers for the injured and for all who have died in what he called “a senseless tragedy.” The President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops also released a statement urging people to take care of those who are suffering from what he called an unspeakable terror.
