With President Trump just last week signing a new bill aimed at assisting ISIS genocide victims in Iraq and Syria, we’ll be speaking with Supreme Knight Carl Anderson of the Knights of Columbus about this historic legislation–and how it will help the thousands of persecuted Christians, and other religious minorities, in the Middle East. Supreme Knight Anderson was instrumental in getting this bill passed, given his powerful congressional testimony in 2016. The Knights of Columbus have worked steadfastly with the Catholic leaders of Iraq and Syria, inspired by the fearless leadership of Archbishop Warda of Erbil. If you missed Anderson’s compelling speech, find it here.
We’ll also have Mark DeYoung of Catholic Men Unite with us. They are releasing a new letter to the Holy Father and US Bishops. This is a new response, and a recommitment from the men for prayer, fasting, and repentance in 2019, as well as Eucharistic processions around the country. The new letter will be posted to http://www.CatholicMenUnited.com by Monday midday. We’ll have a sneak peek from Mark before the letter is published so make sure to tune in!
Monsignor Charles Pope will be with us as we enter into the 3rd week of Advent. We’ll be discussing Gaudete Sunday and Monsignor’s 5 steps for better mental health–a rule book for Advent–along with his latest blog, A Humorous Call to Confession.
Our conversation is a two-way street–so please feel free to leave a comment here and write directly to us: MorningGlory@EWTN.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
